Property Tax Rebate Window Opens in Ludhiana from Today

Ludhiana: The Ludhiana Municipal Corporation (MC) has opened the property tax rebate window from today, September 27, offering a 10% rebate on advance payment of property tax for the financial year 2025–26. In a special move, the MC has also decided to keep Suvidha Centres open on Sunday (September 28) to assist taxpayers.

This rebate window will remain open till September 30. MC officials have urged residents to avail of the rebate and not to wait till the last moment.

Here are the payment slabs and related conditions:

• October 1 to December 31: No rebate or penalty.
• January 1 to March 31: A 10% penalty will be levied on due amounts.
• After April 1: A 20% penalty and 18% annual interest will apply for non-payment.

Ludhiana Mayor Inderjit Kaur and MC Commissioner Aditya Dachalwal have advised residents to opt for online payment to avoid queues and delays. The official MC website, mcludhiana.gov.in, is the recommended platform for paying property tax digitally.
